Akasaki Research Center (ARC)
The Akasaki Research Center (ARC) has been founded in 2001 to do research
and development of new semiconductors/devices that provide the basis of
future innovation in the fields of nano- and microelectronics/photonics.
The ARC is organized with the special grant from the Ministry of Education,
Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan for the inventions on
nitride semiconductors and blue light emitting device by Professor Isamu
Akasaki. The ARC is open to researchers from within as well as the objectives.
